FOUNDATION TO EMPOWER 1000 KWARANS THROUGH AGRICULTURE

A Non Governmental Organzation in Kwara state, which has Education and Empowerment & Sports as its major bedrocks has launched its empowerment tagged MECHANIZED AGRICULTURAL REVOLUTION PROJECT (MARP) in Kwara State.

The project according to the president of the Foundation, Barr Titilope Akogun, a renowned young lawyer, stated that the project will be executed in Irepodun Local Government towns, specifically in 3 towns.

The Project is aimed at building and empowering new millionaires in the Local Government in less than one year.

He stated " We have decided to opt for an alternative to the conventional empowerment template of giving people clippers, N5000 and the rest, which is not sustainable at all".

"We have resolved to create a poverty eradication roadmap, towards making our people self reliant". He stated.

Beneficiaries are expected to pick up their forms at the foundation office located at Abimbola Plaza, Omu aran for FREE, and are expected to return the forms before the 1st of March, 2018 when opening of bank accounts commences.

Each farmer is to be allocated one hectare of land, upon which to farm and the Foundation shall create platforms to access loans for the farming Project.

The farming is to be a mechanized farming, as BTA Foundation shall provide the farming implements to be used from Clearing of land till harvesting.

The beauty of the Scheme is the availability of already existing buyers for the produce that will be harvested by farmers.

The farmers are expected to pay up the loan obtained with farm produce thereafter which they could sell their remaining produce as profits.

The Project is keyed into the Federal Government vision of diversifying the economy and making agriculture a sure bet.

The President of the Foundation further stated "The Project would move to 3 other local Governments in Kwara South by 2019 and 2020 respectively, but we want to use Irepodun Local Government as a template for other local governments to believe it is truly Time for BIG IDEAS,". He stated.

Barrister Titilope Akogun (BTA) Foundation will officially open its office in Omu Aran. The office is located at 1st Floor, Abimbola Plaza, Opposite Post Office, Ilorin Road, Omu Aran, Kwara State, Nigeria.

Your BVN statement is a one page information sheet detailing:

1. How Your name is written in your bank account
2. Your BVN Number
3. Your correct date of birth
4. Phone number registered in your account.

These will be used to open a new bank account for applicants.

Your bank would give it out to you once you request. It is free of charge.

This would ensure your application details corresponds with your bank account details so as not to have issues receiving payment.

Npower payment issues witnessed is just an example.

4) Drivers' license or Voter's Card or National I.d card.
5) 2 Reliable Guarantors.
6) You must register under one of the compound groups of BTA Foundation in your town.
(Once you fill the application form, you would be informed of the compound group in your town).

- Obtain and Fill your application form for just N1000.
- Wait for text messages communicating you your bank account to be opened for you.
- Get an acceptance request, which expects you to reply "Yes".
- Then Get your disbursement.
Processing period is 3 - 6 weeks.

Use loans within 6months.

Repayment of loan.
1) You are not expected to make refund in the first month.
2) From the Second month, you are expected to commence 10,000 monthly repayment.
3) Finish up payment at the end of the 6th month to be eligible for an increase in access to business loans.


1st batch of Application forms would be available from 1st January to 20th January, 2018, being BTA Foundation's launching date at Omu Aran.

 COMMERCIAL TRANSPORTERS SCHEME

1.      This category comprises of Commercial motorcycle riders and Vehicle drivers.

2.      BTA Foundation shall provide support towards the acquisition of motorcycles and vehicles for the transporters in Irepodun Local Government, and by extension the entire Kwara State.

3.      BTA Foundation shall register each motor Garage and motorcycle parks in all the towns of each local government.

4.      The Foundation shall provide Motorcycles, Tricycles and cars to all Transport Unions in each town through our private – partnership scheme
